About the presentation:
- In many organizations, both the Supply Chain and Information Technology functions are considered service organizations supporting other key operational functions. Since everyone relies on technology for process improvements, there is high demand for IT services in most Supply Chain functions. For both IT and Supply Chain delivering services that are value added require early engagement and highly collaborative processes. Yet, despite this emphasis on close partnership and a shared desire for providing value added services, are companies satisfied with their IT (and/or supply chain) function? Striking the balance between following a rigorous project scoping/delivery process while having a responsive engagement with the "customer" is crucial to success and satisfaction for service functions
- Having recently moved to a IT role after a few years in Supply Chain, Subba will share his new perspectives on shared challenges and opportunities and lead a group discussion this topic
- Topics of discussion include: service function engagement models, IT project delivery models, governance or procurement and technology processes
